Tinker Tailor Stalker Spy: #736 ( Stalker ) Loner Kruglov Infrared Scanner Kill
2I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.
Encrypted Diary: After the Emission, I went to the western tower overlooking the Farmhouse on the Hill. It appeared a Monolith squad had used the cover of the storm, to slip into the Farmhouse and take the hillside, next to the Freedom Base. I was able to zap several of them with the prototype weapon but after others started firing back at me, and I switched to the FN F2000.
After killing several Monolith, thinking that I had killed them all, I ran down the stairs of the tower. As I ran up the hill to go alongside the outer wall, I noticed a red dot running right next to me parallel, going the same direction. We were so close to each other, only the wall was between us, and they did not know I was going to the front gate.
It was my third-tier modified Tactical Helmet with it's infrared scanner. No other Faction armor, exoskeleton or helmet in the Zone had this feature. It was one of a kind and it allowed me to see the infrared signature, of any enemy Faction member in my Mini-Map, that would be a red dot. It was the same as it shows friendlies as green or yellow.
As we both sprinted eastward, I noticed a new Freedom squad was running across the bridge and out into the road. This red dot headed towards them was unidentified but considering I killed four or five Monolith, it was most likely a survivor. The Freedom squad had no idea, the Monolith was going to flank them, and they all had their headlamps on. As we got closer, I pulled out my shotgun and this is where my infrared scanner made the kill.
* Game Note: Flyover mode used, right after the Emission started and I was safely inside the Freedom HQ building. I noticed a five-man Monolith squad near the Bloodsucker Village on the hillside, with one of them praying on his knees. When they started moving again, all five Monolith went forward but the lead one remained on his knees praying. Not something rarely seen, since all the other eight Factions have to go inside.
