I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.

Encrypted Diary: I took a job from the Clear Sky member at the crossroads. His buddy had been killed up the hill, among the concrete barriers by the Pseudogiant, that I had injured earlier. The Pseudogiant had crawled back severely wounded, into the swamp. The Documents that the Clear Sky soldier wanted, were at the far western side of the Amry Warehouses, on the road to Rostok.

I went back into the hills, at the edge of the swamp, to see if I could get Shrek, the Pseudogiant to creep out of its hiding place. It was wounded but still deadly and I needed to put it out of its misery. From there I continued west, going along the upper hillside, looking down at the road below. I retrieved the Documents and was soon heading back to the Clear Sky soldier.

I never realized I was about to come face to face with a Monolith firing the Prototype weapon.

* Game Note: In the first scenario, I return to the Crossroads with the Documents that the Clear Sky soldier wanted. Instead, he has vanished, and a Freedom soldier is standing there, when we come under attack by 3 Monolith. Despite my best efforts using my rifle grenades, the Monolith prevailed, with one of the Monolith firing a Gauss Gun at us. I was killed.

The second scenario is where I load my manual save, made by the Loner right outside the Freedom Base, and head towards the Crossroads. This time I'm on the other side of the road, among the concrete columns, looking for the Monolith. The Barrier appears empty until I suddenly I spot the top of the heads of 3 Monolith walking up a ravine, going up the hill. One is with the Protype weapon, that I recover.
