I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.

Encrypted Diary: My 29 Companions and I were staying at the Dark Valley Pig Farm, with a five-man Bandit squad we met there. I immediately started arming them better, since so many of them only had pistols. I need to pick up some Bandit jobs and reverse my sliding Faction relations score, that had dropped into the negative.

I wasn't sure what other Factions were in the area or what mutants were north of us, as several of the Bandits had warned me. I saw a headlamp to the far east, overlooking the eastern island at the Dark Valley Lake. I ran haphazardly to catch up with them, where I found it was a lone Dutyer. He wanted me to join him, looking for mutants that he had heard noises from. I declined and hit a few stashes. When I lit a nearby campfire among some boulders, the illumination revealed the rear end of a Borya, that was facing the other way. It was just resting, so I backed up and left it alone, and quickly returned to the Pig Farm.
