I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.

Encrypted Diary: I left my 29 Companions with the five-man Bandit squad at the Pig Farm, so I could go north towards the Dark Valley Lake. After securing the bridge, I moved down to the islands on each side, lighting the campfires and emptying some stashes. I wanted to make sure the area was clear of hostile men and mutants, so I could move my men north.

A Duty squad came out of the Old Warehouse, but they only offered a job to check out some nearby noises, which I suspected was the same Borya I had seen earlier. I'm also suspicious it might be the same Borya I had seen in the Cordon. It had disappeared before I had left the Cordon, and it would have been easy to travel here through Darkscape or Garbage, to arrive in the southern Dark Valley. I could be wrong as it was just a feeling, and just like in the Cordon, I left it alone and I didn't want to help Duty find it.

With the way clear, I called my Companions to me, who did not want to take the bridge for some reason. I checked my emergency stash of prototype weapon ammo, just outside the Bandit Base, where I had stored over 1,100 rounds. We quickly arrived at the Bandit Base where I took my Companions into the main hangar. I had several huge stashes there from when I was briefly in the Bandit Faction. This is one of my favorite locations and I prefer to have the Bandits as my ally. I noticed the Bandit squad at the Base was poorly armed with pistols, when I helped them take out a Bloodsucker at the west gate. I repaired some rifles, sold to one Bandit and had to donate to the other two Bandits who didn't have enough money.

I was happy to see Olivius who sold me some more of the prototype weapon ammo, being the only Trader in the Zone to have it. Limpid took some PDAs off me and repaired all my gear. I still needed to stop by and see Sultan but I wanted to secure the eastern side, where I climbed the northeast watchtower and scanned the fields in the same direction. Standing in the darkness of night, I spotted a Burer.

* Game Note: I made the mistake of taking a Bandit job too quickly, not realizing that the entire five-man Bandit squad would be joining me. If it had been local in the Dark Valley, I probably would have kept it. When I saw the location was the Army Warehouses, I immediately changed my mind and reloaded the same save I had started with.
