Here's a new TNO custom event, done at the request of Ebolaman131: a failstate for Barry Goldwater's USA, in which either his economic policies backfire miserably, or he goes off the deep end in implementing his reforms. It triggers a Second Great Depression, plunging America and much of the OFN into malaise, if not outright impotence. Effectively losing the Cold War, not too unlike the Yockey and Hall torture hour that's actually in the mod.

Needless to say, it's a REALLY GOOD IDEA.

For some trivia, the image is taken from Wall Street, circa 1964, though the music used is "Manic Monday" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVGOyYyWxiA ) by the Bangles. The end clip, meanwhile, is from an actual ABC interview with Goldwater himself from around 1993-94 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eu9v7NO_LgU ).
