Another pretty small map for TNT standards, but don’t let that fool you. Right at the beginning you’ll alert a whole bunch of imps and chaingunners who will make short work of you if you don’t take cover. There’s also a small handful of pain elementals and revenants.

I actually like this map a lot. It’s compact, it has some cool secrets, a great atmosphere, and it has well balanced fights and ammo. If TNT had more maps like this and less like Mount Pain or Habitat, I think people wouldn’t be so hard on it nowadays.

This map, 1 (System Control) and 10 (Redemption) were done by Tom Mustaine, who also made several of the music tracks. He would contribute one map to the Doom 2 Master Levels, and later on contribute to Hell to Pay and Perdition’s Gate. I’m interested in playing both of them, but they’re not sold anywhere anymore so I’ll have to do some digging for them.
