I stayed at the Taufua Beach Fales which is a 15 minute scooter ride to the trench. The beach there is beautiful, the food is delicious and there is a security guard at night. I fell asleep every night to the waves crashing. My trip was not 100% safe, I'm not sure if it was because of bad luck, being a woman, or being white. I will do a recap video at the end of the season.
