[Tonohetsuri] Fukushima "Hetsuri" means "steep cliff"
Tonohetsuri, located in Shimogo Town, Minamiaizu District, Fukushima Prefecture, is a scenic spot that was created through erosion and weathering over a million years and is designated as a national natural monument.
Hetsuri means ``steep cliff'' in the dialect of the Aizu region, and as the name suggests, the rock walls have been eroded wide enough for people to walk through, and the rock walls are lined up like towers. For this reason, it is called "To no Hetsuri."
The view from Fujimi Bridge is exceptional, and the collaboration between Okawa Bridge, which has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous bridges, and Tonohetsuri is a must-see.
