E3 2021 gave us many gaming related news, so many that it can get confusing: this “Top 10 games of E3 2021” is the solution to the confusion!

Elden Ring was shown at the Summer Games Fest instead of E3 but it definitely deserves to be on this list! This was just a gameplay trailer, but from what it looks like here I think they want to combine the Dark Souls formula for both gameplay and environments with the fluid gameplay of Sekiro, alongside a general revamp and new additions! Match all of that with the story telling of George R. R. Martin and I think this game will be a big hitter.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a game that I was not expecting at all! This one is developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix, and it's a single player focused experience! There is a 10 minute gameplay demo for Guardians of the Galaxy and it looks like they really nailed it! Great dialogues with timed options, great art style, very fun gameplay with abilities, squad mechanics... it really looks like it's got it all!

One thing that rarely happens in the game industry is when games actually play like they are shown in their non-gameplay trailers. Battlefield 2042 is one of these good surprises! 128 players in a real all-out war experience, stunning! Thanks to this high-tech setting the new Battlefield will provide us many more sandbox elements than ever before, and it's looking intense!

Nintendo and Ubisoft return in collaboration for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. This time, Mario, Luigi, Peach and their Rabbids friends are in space! from what it looks like Sparks of hope will feature strong innovations for the turn-based strategy formula, and new features for Mario + Rabbids as well! On top of this it looks like there will also be exploration elements! I don't know if it will be full-on open-world but it's nice to see this collaboration given a second chance - I just hope Ubisoft can clean up their name because Mario shouldn't be associated with their controversies.

Starfield! Well, we've not seen much, but this game is still a big deal since it's the first new IP from Bethesda Game Studios in 25 years! Besides, everyone is sleeping on the fact that the trailer says “Creation Engine 2”! I remember Bethesda being dead set in continuing to only develop with the Creation Engine, and while I think it was the basis for the new one, I believe that it had a huge rework since they named it “2”... well, I think you could say that by just watching at the graphics.

Shadow Warrior 3 by Devolver Digital looks like a DOOM Eternal in an asian setting. You've got many DOOM Eternal mechanics such as the Dash, Glory Kills, and a lot of fire power! But to spice up the formula there are interesting interactions that I never thought possible in this type of game!

Nintendo dropped the bomb when they revealed that Metroid DREAD comes out this year. As I said in my Nintendo E3 2021 recap this game was even more unlikely to release than Half Life 3, a cloud of uncertainty and rumors was around this title since 15 years ago, and its predecessor, Metroid Fusion came out in 2002. Overcoming the challenges posed by a Metroid game is an experience unparalleled, and I assure you, you don't want to miss out on it! Plus it also is very atmospheric. That being said, I am sure Metroid DREAD is the perfect place to start.

Forza Horizon 5 is the new entry in the long running series of racing games by Microsoft and Playground! This new open-world racing game offers incredible vistas in Mexico and many game modes, which, if I got it correctly, can also be created by the players themselves! I have to say that the graphics look very very impressive, but I am personally waiting for the next Forza Motorsport.

The sequel to the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild was finally shown by Nintendo! Unfortunately the trailer was short, and we only got a glimpse at what is coming in this new Zelda game. Link has a new design and new abilities, but the biggest change is Hyrule, which is now taken apart and split from ground to sky.

And finally, the one I was waiting-for the most at E3 2021, was Halo Infinite. Halo is finally returning to its roots, and I couldn't be happier for this! Luckily I am not alone as the multiplayer overview got number one on trending here on YouTube! Aside from this, the thing that strikes me is that... we don't have a release date for Halo Infinite just yet!
