My Predictions For Nintendo at E3 2021
In today's video I share my predictions for Nintendo at E3 2021! Nintendo's E3 will take place on June 15th at 9 am PT as recently confirmed!
My first prediction is about the New Nintendo Switch, Super Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Pro as it is usually called around. By the time this video is out the system might have very well-been already announced, as huge rumors around suggest that it will be revealed before E3 so that Nintendo can announce that the new games will also be available for the next Switch.
Alright, now onto what really matters, game announcements. So, the first thing they'll show will likely be a new Smash character, and I feel like they'll close this fighter pack with at least one more famous third party character. The most likely could actually be Crash Bandicoot but I wouldn't be surprised if it was my boy Rayman which is already present in Smash as a spirit. What I personally hope though is for them to add the Master Chief, I mean, they already added Banjo & Kazooie and Steve which are owned by Microsoft, and in many official videos coming from Xbox we've seen Nintendo Switches in the background of rooms, so maybe Chief in Smash? My dream would be to see him added along the DOOM Slayer, but I'm rambling at this point.
New news about the upcoming Pokémon games are most certainly guaranteed in my opinion, or at least substantial news about Pokémon Legends Arceus, which was in very early stages when it was shortly shown last time. I think they'll show us something about interesting and compelling map traversal and open world mechanics, which really is what I think they want to deliver for this new Pokémon adventure. If they do it right it may be a very immersive Pokémon experience like anything ever before!
Mario Golf Super Rush will show for sure a launch trailer at E3 2021 to remind everyone about its launch on June 25th.
Now its time for my love, Metroid. We've actually got a lot to unpack here, first of all there are strong leaks and rumors about a 2D Metroid game being ready for launch, and if I have to guess I think it may be a Super Metroid remake, but personally I am hoping for something new, like a Metroid 5 set after the events of Metroid Fusion. Then of course, rumors about the Metroid Prime Trilogy have circulated around the Internet for a long time, and I honestly have no idea if these rumors have legit backing or if they are made by fans who hope to get the port on the Switch. In any case I hope the rumors turn out to be true because with the current systems I own I could only play the 2D games and Metroid Prime Hunters. Metroid Prime 4 could possibly show us at least a CGI trailer at E3 2021 but sadly I don't think there will be any more than that for now. I just hope they don't forget that it's also the 35th anniversary for Metroid.
There are also rumors that the team behind Super Mario Odyssey is working on a brand new Donkey Kong game.
Alright, Mario Kart! So, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling like crazy, and as Highlighted by Arlo the game received a tiny update very recently, which is something that didn't happen in a long time! So, I think it could happen that they announce a Mario Kart 9, but there is also the same chance that Mario Kart 8 will instead receive a big content drop update!
Splatoon 3 was announced by surprise at the last Nintendo Direct, and I think some gameplay is likely to be shown for E3 2021, but just like for Donkey Kong I don't follow the series so closely to give you more context than this.
For what concerns The Legend of Zelda I'm sure they'll at least tell more about the Skyward Sword HD port announced recently to celebrate the 35th Zelda anniversary, and like everyone hopes and predicts they could also finally tell us more about Breath of the Wild 2. As for other rumored ports I have no idea if they have anything else planned but I would love something related to Ocarina of time, but frankly Skyward Sword an Breath of the Wild 2 are so big that I don't know if they had time for more ports.
