This is a project that I have been working on since 2013.
This is another open-ended, spontaneously formed structure like cubes (. The form is based on the height field, another icon of computer graphics.
I add each triangle individually and slowly over time the structure grows. In this video you see some experiments; dropping spheres on the height field in order to emphasize its structure, and many different 'platter' shots - animations of the field rotating. This is just a snapshot of the current state of the field. I am adding to this structure on a continuous basis.
