I have done some testing on affix blocking after the video was created.
Below is the message that I sent to XD support about my findings.
"I have done some testing on affix blocking and it's incredibly stupid how it works. If I block 2x basic affixes with an combined weight of 40%, basic math say that all those 40% need to go somewhere. As there is no more blemish chance on any gear that I can find anymore, then it most be going to the other basic affixes. HERE IS THE STUPID PART. This get distributed on the lower tier modifiers that 99.999% of the players roll over in search for t1 (or t2 at early season). Can I please get a clarification if this a bug or intended game mechanic? This just lowering the skill celling and makes crafting 100% just RNG. I bet most non casual players is under the belief (after talking to players on discord and youtube) that affix blocking follow normal math rules."
