Total Carnage: Music Comparison of Four Versions - NintendoComplete
A comparison of the first stage theme from four different versions of Midway's 1992 arcade game Total Carnage.
0:00 Original arcade version
2:08 PC version played on a Sound Blaster 16 (OPL3 FM)
4:13 SNES version
6:13 Game Boy version
Each is played for two loops.
It's a great song, but the quality varies pretty widely between each of the versions. The PC version is easily my favorite - it has a much stronger and more intense sound to it than the arcade version in my opinion.
The Game Boy version is sheer comedy after hearing the others. I think it might've been on life-support given the speed of it.
Anyways, just a random video of something neat. Hope you like it :)
If you'd like to see the game itself, I have recorded a playthrough of the SNES version. You can find it here: https://youtu.be/Duq8cv1QVP0
