UPDATE: The glitch has been figured out by the modding community. It's caused by an unset variable and it's also undefined behaviour, which means that getting it is effectively random chance and even hardware-dependent. That explains why so few people have gotten it. I only know of 5 people that have gotten it as of writing this, including myself. I've updated some of the rest of the description accordingly.
Very quickly after trying out this new trial, I already found a glitch! It's an unset variable yet again (thanks ZUNgramming), but yeah, I don't know what gameplay action triggers it. I've also had runs where it didn't happen. This glitch can occur on all difficulties and can also happen in a replay, assuming you play it back from Stage 1, with presumably the same random chance as when doing a full game run.
Basically, the Stage 3 boss's first nonspell instantly kills you whenever the bullets are supposed to spawn and the bullets never actually spawn.
This glitch exists in version 0.01b and apparently, this *always* happens in 0.01a, instead of only occasionally. It might be the reason why 0.01b was made two days prior to the demo's release.
