I was listening to two songs from PoDD while going through PCB. I sort of was feeling PCB, but I still wanted to listen to some PoDD music. I didn't feel like I was going insane with only these 2 songs back to back. If I was going to show a replay of this, I might as well also include the conditions I had when doing this just so you can have a better idea of what I was thinking while I play (I probably wasn't to be honest). Something like this probably makes sense with live plays rather than replays. I have the replay file here:

I barely got the billion clear in this run. I was kind of rusty when I did this as I was still sort of remembering how I tackled through some stuff like Youmu's midboss spellcard. Needless to say, a lot of mistakes were made in this run while still scoring decently (decent by my standards at this point of time). Pretty normal by my standards. Its just that this run I managed to have the benefits of the bonuses from the extra lives I had at the end. Until stage 6, my 996 million actually scores better overall so there is definitely some more scoring potential with my current strategies. If I want to score higher, I will have to learn some border routes.

Stage 4 has to be my weakest stage when it comes to scoring and not screwing up. The only border I make sure I get is getting a border at the end of the first wave of enemies. I'm usually able to time a border for the enemies that shoot red suicide bullets, which results in an increase to my cherrymax value. Past that part, I pretty much have to improvise based on how well I pull off the post-Lily White section of the stage. Something worth mentioning is that previous attempts earlier today had me dying at Repository of Hirokawa. Was trying to graze as much as possible. Checking Yuyuko's HP got me killed whenever I did look up so I didn't bother milking it after those attempts.

How appropriate I got this about a year after I got my first lunatic clear in PCB. November of 2013 was when I first managed to clear PCB on lunatic (and first one considering it was the only Touhou I had at the time). Not exactly a year since I think that clear happened late November...I think. I remembered when I was pretty happy with clearing at around 600 million back when I was learning lunatic. 600 million is end of stage 5 for me now.

There goes my main goal I had. I don't have too much shmup goals unless I find something in a game I enjoy playing. I've only cleared PCB with ReimuB and MarisaA so I could attempt the other shot types. What is stopping me from branching out a bit is that I have a hard time using Marisa's lasers, I don't really like using the homing types that much, and I can't really fight Merlin that well (as well as only learning PCB with ReimuB. Similar strategies could be utilized with MarisaA).

I guess a goal I should make is learn to practice more. I do more full stage runs just so I don't stay out of practice in the early stages. I also can't replicate the conditions I'm normally at for a particular section so I can't really plan out borders in stage practice.

I didn't change my avatar because of this. I'm kind of looking for an avatar I wouldn't mind using for a long time. I decided to use something from Yuyuko fanart I found.

I record at 30 fps. I think that might be what ffmpeg is limited to so don't expect any runs at 60 fps from me.

If someone does look at the tags, they are sort of relevant.
