Just to clarify, Four Dimensions is a difficulty -above- Ultra.
4D is also the only mode on which the TTLB appears.
Seeing as 3D danmaku is kind of hard to parse, you get a shield in order to compensate a bit. The shield recharges faster the further you get in the game and grazing also recharges it faster.
You also have autobombs however using them depletes your entire bomb stock. It's for this reason you always want to manually bomb unless you only have only one bomb left in stock.
Also you can adjust the camera and stuff.
In order to trigger the TLB and TTLB you have to kill the stage 3 book, which is not as easy as it sounds. This also changes the boss of the level and the midboss of the next level into a more powerful version.
No I did not use 3d glasses during this run. It's an option though!
