Touhou 20...mixed feelings, There's the AI situation going on which was news to me but I digress.

It took me a while to understand how the gimmick works, the pyramids that pop up, I still haven't done any combinations yet so I played it with whatever stone I had for now.

All the stuff is there but you're severely underpowered throughout the demo. Even in normal at 1.00 power, the enemies are weirdly tanky. Second is the gimmick/pyramids, from what I can tell you have to raise the meter first by beating and chaining fairies. Just to keep it simple let's just go with how many you need to summon a pyramid (still random on which color pops up though.)

Stage 1 needs you to take out two pyramids first, then 3rd is a bomb piece and the 4th is a life piece
Stage 2 and onwards, 2nd pyramid is a bomb piece and 3rd is a life piece.

Next is shot types....there's 8 and only handful of them are useful. Wanna 1cc with just one stone for now? Pick the sanae/green stones, they're really just her shots so I assume Sanae was going to be playable character but she got stoned instead. There's the combinations but I will experiment eventually to see which works best. Reimu is the most cumbersome to use while Marisa just shreds through enemies honestly (from my experience at least with Scarlet Devil Stone.)

Stages, they're almost fine if it weren't for your character being too weak. The gimmick gets in the way as well depending on what level they are now, it meshes with the patterns when you fight the boss so that makes them even more cumbersome to deal with honestly.

Bosses though, they're okay, Chimi stands out the most and of course, egyptian woman.

Overall, mixed feelings, gimmick gets in the way of boss patterns (for the most part) and you feel so underpowered even at 4.00. Too many shot types but that barely work at at all too. Will it get fixed? I hope so really.
