This is the Java Applet version of Tower of the Sorcerer which appears to be made for Java 3, though I was playing it using Java 6 with "appletviewer.exe mtower.html" as the command to boot it up in command prompt. The Java Applet version never fully released with all 50 (51) floors in the game available to the player, even though the code appears to be present for it and the player could theoretically do all the floors if not for the floor 20 fairy blocker.

This version of the game actually ends at floor 20, so I call it a Demo Version. The Fairy blocks the path and prevents progression, stating thanks for playing and that you cannot continue.

However, there are ways to get past the progression blocker, which I have showcased in this video. The furthest you can get to is floor 40, unlike the floor 20 maximum the developer had intended to keep it at.

If the player defeats the Faro mid-boss in area 2 (floors 11-20), the mattok can be used to destroy the wall next to the fairy. Also the game randomly speeds up at times in Java 6, which can allow two uses of the blue boost HP potion that is showcased in the video.

Due to not having the mattok for the extra atk & def gems in area 3, it is not possible to get enough stats to beat the game. Furthermore the central symmetry wing mirrored spatial teleporter is replaced with an upstairs wing, so a red key is required to reach the area 3 boss rather than being able to teleport in and bypass the red door.

The teleport staff instead of letting you choose floors with arrow keys up/down or buttons, it is changed based on the way a staircase is arrived at, walking towards an upwards staircase and pressing the button goes up floors and walking towards a downwards staircase does the reverse. Game can be tricked to go either way, if I recall.

The game source does appear to have the entirety of the game available if the fairy blocker at floor 20 was removed to allow playing the full game. Also at some point past floor 20 there is a room where you can't progress unless you use the teleport staff to go down and then up.

Since this version didn't appear anywhere on YouTube, I thought inclined to post it as I intend to beat all main Tower of the Sorcerer versions. :)
