Microsoft is not out to get you and nobody is trying to steal your data or your computer. Seriously, its not the 1990's anymore.

Steve Ballmer (the Previous Microsoft CEO) did a spectacular amount of damage to the Open Source community by spreading lies and FUD about Linux and Open Source in general.

But what he also did was severely damage Microsoft's reputation in general. Smart folks in the community, especially in the enterprise and software development community, knew Ballmer was full of stuff and his FUD drove a giant wedge in the community.

Problem is, many Linux users continue to tear their tinfoil hats today as if it was 1998 and Microsoft was still trying to wipe Linux from the planet.
