Train Simulator 2019: The Colton Quarry
This is a trip on a small narrow-gauge line, found on the Esthwaite Branch route. This is route available from UKTrainSim, and has risen to popularity after being used as the Penwyth Valley Railway in the Angry Welshman Productions series 'Over The Hills'.

On this day, we have been given the task of taking some empty wagons along the 0.5-mile line from Colton up to the Quarry. Our engine is the Corris Railway's little 0-4-2ST - number 7. Before leaving Colton itself, we wait for an LNWR G2 class - otherwise known as a Super D - to pass by. This engine was hauling a rake of coal wagons, with the coal being for the ships at Esthwaite Docks.
Then it's up to the quarry. Probably my favourite part of this line is the stone road bridge, because it has a tiny, absolutely tiny gap through which the railway passes. If No. 7 tried to go under a bridge this small in real-life, the top of her funnel and her cab roof would be ripped off.
Once at the quarry, we uncouple the wagons we've brought up and leave them in the siding. Then it's into an extremely short headshunt - barely long enough for No. 7 - then collecting a rake of six wagons fulled with stone.
Then it's back down the hill to Colton. One thing I didn't like about this line is the horrendously sharp curve just beyond the stone road bridge. The speed limit for most of the line is 20 miles per hour, being reduced to 5 beyond this sharp curve. In real-life, I wouldn't go more than 5mph around a curve this sharp.
