0With the power of machine translation I was able to figure out how to finish the first quest, and catch my first stag beetle!
I know the translation is hard to understand, but this is what I got:
Yam is a new kid in town, living with his grandpa, an expert at raising stag beetles. We want to raise a stag beetle too. We get challenged to a stag beetle fight by the school bully, and lose. Then, we visit the shrine, and meet a kid who wants to get a specific kind of beetle for his sister, who is in the hospital. Our grandpa tells us some hints on where to catch one. We put down some bait, and catch the beetle. Then we give it to the sick girl as a gift.
There is also some rules for stag beetle fights. You can press A to attack, and B to "go up and down"(???). I assume it means you can try to flip/throw the enemy. Also you can use 4 items in a battle, but we didn't buy any from the shop. I translated them, but it wasn't entirely clear which ones you can use in battles and which are used for training or trapping.
I think this game is very rare, there are almost no plays of this game on youtube, let alone any translations available. If you wanted to play this game, hopefully this helps explain what's going on and how you're supposed to play it.
