usually i ignore these kindsa doom mods, the slow boring monotonous wandering around in survival horror settings, but something felt different about this one.

Trauma Effect, keep in mind i went in with low expectations haha. I was like "alright another one of these slow tedious boring empty corridor wanders with jump scares possibly, let's just try this stupid thing for a few seconds in case there's anything worth -- whoah this is pretty interesting actually."

The big empty grey city in the opening title map with the erie music, the textures and lighting used, so far I am pretty interested in this. Lots of obvious similarities to a certain survival horror title, I won't say the name, you all now which one hehheh, starts with an "s", i mean look at the underpass segment, seems ripped right outta silent hill 3 haha, and the cool erie misty snow effects and that strange shaking red glowing at the end, WAAAAAA WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!!

pretty neat, somehow i actually played through the whole demo.

like i said, I'm not a fan of these kinds of games usually. They've been churning out slow stupid gimmicky horror games in recent years , where you do boring shit you wouldn't wanna do in a video game, like watch screens, solve ugly puzzles that don't leave you feeling very satisfied if and when you accomplish them, walk around in endless corridors and forests and stuff, empty dark areas, and it all just feels so bring. So there's been a few Doom mods in recent years with slowed player movement, cumbersome survival horror feeling mechanics, and I'm usually so not interested. There's so many i can't remember, some doom mod based on Eternal Darkness, that other one that looked super realistic that Icarus covered on his channel, but I was bored, that Zombie Survival stuff,

Good job on Trauma Affect so far though. Interesting to see where they might take it. I hope they keep it somewhat simple though, like keep the weapons system close to Doom, where you switch weapons or items in real time, don't try to muck it up with a bunch of weird inventory menus and stuff. just my advice, but people like to use Doom to practice coding and stuff so it's all good whatever they want to do.
