The Trial of Sekhemas is a bit of a controversial topic in the Path of Exile II community. Whether you love it or hate it, it is something you have to run in order to get your first two ascendancy points, and this trial can be particularly brutal if running it for the first time without any knowledge.
This is made even MORE difficult if you happen to be a pure melee class, and though GGG has nerfed the trial a bit, to this day I see comments complaining about the difficulty of running this trial as a melee build. A lot of this hinges on the honour system and how it is more punishing to melee classes compared to ranged, since we are much more likely to take hits from enemies while running the trial.
So I was inspired to make this updated guide; most of the ones I saw were old, and I wanted to help my fellow melee enjoyers with a full run + commentary as well as a bunch of tips and tricks for completing this trial and getting your ascendancy points as a melee character. All of them.
