Merry Christmas and Happy Yule/Noel! As a treat for all the good little boys and girls watching (yes, both of you), time for something VERY special, and a fair bit different from my usual uploads! This one will require some explanation: as anyone who follows this channel should know, I began using it as a platform for my voice work after the initial plan for it to be an Let's Play channel fell through (the tech just wasn't up to LPing on any major basis). After I began doing readings, I eventually started looking for other projects to be a part of, and in late 2015 was informed by a close friend of an LP for the SNES RPG Chrono Trigger that was to include voice acting, by user keinecat kamishirasawa (@keinecatkamishirasawa). This ended up being the VERY FIRST project for another that I auditioned for (and got roles in), as well as the first time I ever received instruction in regards to my work. Unfortunately the LP only lasted a few episodes before being shelved, so the majority of the voice work completed never got to see the light of day (the episodes still exist at this time, no playlist so one will have to go through the videos if interested: https://www.youtube.com/@keinecatkamishirasawa/videos); so in memoriam of my first ever gig, I have compiled the surviving collections of lines for the characters I got to voice and am sharing them here. Included are my lines for Belthasar (the initial character I auditioned for; two different versions of the lines, as we were working out the appropriate voice), Johnny, Slash, and Spekkio (voice achieved via bottlecaps in my cheeks; I was going for a King Kai voice but ended up sounding like Abridged Nappa instead, whoops); my (two) lines for Norstein Bekkler were uploaded to Vocaroo as instructed at the time, and are lost to history. The audio quality and voice acting are far below my current standards (I was very much inexperienced at the time, and this was two whole computers ago), nonetheless, I felt it worth sharing a piece of my ancient history on this site and of this profession, and giving my viewers a chance to see how much has changed and how far I have come since then. Though the project ended prematurely, I still consider it a valuable experience that I will forever be thankful for, and hopefully as I continue to pursue voice acting I will be able to contribute to yet more projects like this, perhaps even some that make it to completion!
