Trying Gremlin Collection 1 (Part 1) [Evercade #57]

Honestly, though I relatively enjoyed what I played here, my thoughts on the collection overall are conflicted (with these 4 games).
The games themselves are competent and, on their own, are alright. But they're all just "alright" so as a collection it's just "alright" and nothing too noteworthy so far.
Though I have to note that the other two games I will be recording much later (the only time the numbering will not reflect my order of recording) and those 2 games could make/break the collection.
I already went over Zool in its Let's Try, and the two PS1 games are good for their genre. But we have so many soccer and racing games already - I'm over them. THey are good on their own but for the collection and in the overall Evercade ecosystem, it's just "alright" and that's it.
Brain Bender is probably my favorite here so far, but even then it has issues (the self-damaging relfection gets annoying, fast). I like the puzzles themselves but that mechanic makes the game itself just frustrating.
I don't know. Very mixed thoughts here. Zool is a standout game and is the face of the collection so it's one thing. But right now, I'm mixed until I play the other 2 games.
