Trying to catch my own plane
7Today, I drive 40 minutes to a new big area to FPV my AXN, and the power cable for the RC305 VRX broke, so drove all the way home again. I couldn't be bothered to drive out again, so I wondered if I could try a plane in the small field close to me.
The field is too small and is hemmed in my large trees, my last time flying a plane here, my AXN spent 24 hours up in a tree. So I took the Wing Wing - now back to stock motor/ESC after I decided it wasn't working out as an FPV plane.
Trying to fly low and slow here with this wing was tricky... mainly because I'm the worst LOS flyer I know. I kind of skipped the learning to fly and went straight to FPV. So I actually ended up having lots of fun trying to LOS it, and of course became obsessed with catching my plane.
My friend Richard rubbed the fact that he could catch his own plane (but not mine) because he knew I was so bad at flying LOS. So I'm pleased to have finally done it !
