FPV Flying: "2013 in Review: The Crashtacular"
Do you have a short attention span... have no fear, I think the longest clip is about 4 seconds !
This video is technically about 20 days early, but right now, I'm not confident about having the spare time, or the weather window to actually get any more flying in... so I'm a touch early this year.
When looking for clips for this video I thought I'd be out of luck, as I hasn't really crashed much this year. Apparently I'd forgotten about slightly more experimental FPV builds, which did account for lots of interesting model-to-ground scenarios.
Those of a keen eye will be able to spot it's not quite all FPV, there's some LOS stuff, and a little hand launch rubber-band plane... it's all much the same though isn't it.
The main lesson learnt this year, is that flying with friends is infinitely better than flying on your own. So thanks to Richard and Neil for being my flying buddies. (Richard is the one that literally can't catch a cold)
The models used in the various clips were -
