Trying to catch Tarhiel and save his life - Morrowind - (2002) PC - Elder Scrolls - Retro Nostalgia
My attempt to save Tarhiel from certain doom by sacrificing my body in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind on the PC. Released: 2002
This was always one of my favorite moments in Morrowind. On a path leading out of Seyda Neen you come across this wood elf named Tarhiel who falls out of the sky and smashes into the ground. You discover that he invented a scroll of acrobatics which allowed him to jump super far/high but didn't consider how he would safely land.
I decided to show the fall in first and third person views before attempting the catch just to show the situation we're dealing with.
Apparently he can be saved using a slowfall spell to catch him but I just wanted to see what would happen if he landed right on top of the player. Sadly he still dies but I enjoyed seeing the results.
This footage was captured on the PC version that I purchased through Steam. The video actually looked a lot sharper on my computer but youtube apparently lowered the quality once I uploaded it. Still HD but I see some compression artifacts. Hope its not too distracting, trust me its extremely frustrating.
There is also a version of Morrowind on the the original XBOX.
Do you have any memories of this game or Tarhiel? Please share in the comments below, I love reading that stuff.
Thanks for watching!
