Looney Tunes Racing - PS1 - Rascal Championship - (2000) - PlayStation - Retro Nostalgia
Today I tried the Rascal Championship in Looney Tunes Racing for the PS1. Release Date: 2000
Like many I like a good kart racer. I've played quite a few over the years but haven't tried Looney Tunes Racing yet.
I chose Bugs Bunny as my driver and the only unlocked championship which is the "Rascal Championship". It wasn't overly difficult even my first time playing so I imagine this is the easy championship of the game.
Tracks in this Video:
1. Wascally Woods
2. Duck Dodgers' City
3. Desert Dash
4. Gossamer's Castle
For a Looney tunes fan like me this game is kind of a nostalgic treat. The SFX, music and voice samples are very faithful to the show. Graphics are also nice and feels kind of like playing a cartoon. I also appreciate the number of characters on offer, including several unlockable ones.
My only real complaint is the music on Desert Dash, I honestly thought it was glitching and playing the same thing over and over but I looked up the OST and its actually supposed to be like that.
There's also a version of this on the Game Boy Color, which I may look at in the future. A solid Kart racer I'd recommend to any fan of the genre.
I edited out most of the load screens for time's sake.
Do you have any memories of this game? Please share in the comments below, I love reading that stuff.
Thanks for watching!
