Tsunami MEGA arcade project - Part 5 - Working!!!
6Hooray!! The Tsunami MEGA Arcade is fully working!
In the prior videos we had it up and running but the controls weren't responding in game. They did respond in Windows controller configuration though. My friend found a registry entry for the HAPP UCGI board that converts the control input to USB and changed the name of the dll and that was all it took to get it running!
Because we didn't have the original Tsunami MEGA Arcade installation disk, my friend found and used the setup disk from the Tsunami Revolt arcade game. Revolt is a driving game and uses the HAPP UCGI 'DRIVING' board, where the MEGA arcade uses the HAPP UCGI 'FLYING' board. There is also a HAPP UCGI 'FIGHTING' board. All 3 boards use the same PCB, just with a different main EPROM.
To switch from the steering to flight DLL, open RegEdit and locate this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tsunami
Change:
"InputLib"="in_ugcit.dll"
To:
"InputLib"="in_ugci.dll"
