Tucket1:s Night Elven Voices- Warcraft: Total War V. 2.4 (Unreleased) - Kaldorei Campaign Continues!
2Tucket1 over at the Warcraft: Total War Discord has sent me his work adding WC3/WoW Voices to the Night Elves of the mod.
- They're adding voices to the units in battle when selecting said units and ordering them to move, attack, retreat or form a formation etc.
- He hasn't just done this, he has also replaced the Medieval 2 narrator in the battles with Tyrande's voice - so whenever somethig happens during a battle Tyrande will tell you about it instead of the old med 2 guy - I do believe the guy can be faction specific or culture specific - most likely based on the culture. I do recall that in the official vanilla game the Middle Eastern factions had a different English narrator than the European, the Germans had different than the French etc - you could probably have different narrators per faction.
- The strat-map has also been done, everything from the general, the soldier to the agents - all the agents except for the diplomat due to no suitable voice lines available - this includes the merchant, the assassin, the priest and the spy.
The voices aren't compatible with saved-games I think because they'd require the player to add a new line in the EDU-file under "accents" and if this file is edited usually saved games won't work - but maybe the voices would work - I'll check it later.
The next release of Warcraft: Total War will be the remade 2022 release with some additional changes/fixes done to it - and this time without the traits not working - and Tucket1:s Night Elven Voices will be included.
The good news is that he is also doig the High/Blood Elven voices so they will eventually get added whenever they're ready.

The voices are saved-game compatible despite editing the EDU-file. The let's play will continue.
