Tutorial: Adding Drivers To Your OO Gauge Model Locomotives/Trains (Modern Image).
WARNING! Super glue can and will bond fingers, so please take care when using this glue if you wish to follow my tutorial.
This is my first tutorial that I have made for this kind of subject on improving your model trains which here in this video. I am going to show you how to add a driver to your model locomotive. The models used in this tutorial is the Hornby Class 60 and the Hornby (ex-Lima) Class 59 using different techniques as I will explain in the video. Please note that all locomotives are different and some may require tools to remove the bodyshell from the chassis like the new Hornby Class 67 for example (I have shown this later in the video for illustrative purposes only). I tend to use superglue for fixing the driver in place as this glue is fast drying and is more reliable than some other weaker glues. The figures I have used in this tutorial are the Kato 6-529 Train Driver & Conductor crew winter set which although they are not perfect for British Model Trains, it fills the gap than having no drivers in the cab at all! There is alternative makers like Preiser and Noch that make alternative driver and guard crew packs but unfortunately I couldn't find or obtain any for this tutorial, so I have chosen the Kato figures for this video. I hope this tutorial will help someone out in the world of model railways and please feel free to comment, rate and subscribe! Thanks.
