7So then, Neku and Beat finally reach Towa Records, ready to fight Kariya and complete his challenge... and he wasn't there. Beat suggested that Neku scans the area.
But... Neku couldn't scan anyone now! It was like their thoughts have gone blank!
The two then noticed that the residents were all wearing those Red Skull Pins. Neku had to think that those pins were keeping him from scanning them. When Beat revealed that he knew about CAT, and as such thought that the pins came from him, Neku was worried again on how Hanekoma was somehow making their mission hard to accomplish.
Kariya then finally showed up for his fight against the two Players.

Kariya's not too much of a fighter, but I guess that's more of him not trying to be a tough customer.
Either way, watch out when he floats up into the air. He's shoot a power bomb that explodes when it hits the ground.

Kariya surprisingly took his loss quite well, and was prepared to give back the Rhyme pin to the two Players.
He was stopped by Uzuki. She just could not "live" without being with him. So she wanted to help Kariya fight Neku & Beat.

This is where you need to be more careful. Uzuki and Kariya share one HP meter. You will first bring Uzuki down a few notches, and then she'll tag herself out to tag Kariya in.
You fight Kariya for a little while, and then when you bring HIM down a few notches, you'll then be forced to fight both him and Uzuki together. From there, I suggest focusing on avoiding Uzuki's shots the most, while also keeping track of what Kariya does.
Again, they share one HP meter. So bashing on one Reaper enough times will also take out the other.

Together, they both take their loss pretty well, and because of that, they finally give back Rhyme's pin... but it was a FAKE!
Shockingly, not even Kariya and Uzuki themselves didn't know they were given a fake Rhyme Pin. It looks like that Iron Maiden Konishi duped them all!
To make up for this mistake, Kariya hands Beat & Neku a Level 4 Keypin. This allows them to get through any and all Reaper walls in Shibuya. He even sounded like the UG is counting on them to beat the Game, now, but why...?
Beat had enough sympathy for the Reapers now that he warned them about any sudden attacks that Konishi could pull on them, just like she did against 777. Likewise, Uzuki had gained enough sympathy towards the Players to apologize to him about her angry attack on them yesterday.

So Uzuki and Kariya were back on the prowl like the Reapers they are. They discuss about how they got fleeced by Konishi, and how Uzuki would have to miss out on her promotion. She wasn't giving up on it, though. She wanted to get that promotion and change how Shibuya and its Reapers could be treated, and she wanted Kariya to join her for the cause.
They both did enjoy the fight, though, but Kariya thought that their O-Pins, those Red Skull Pins, had nothing to do with it. He then told Uzuki about how Shibuya was already changing... how everyone's often-scattered minds were slowly forming into a single thought... He suspected that it was an omen of more dreadful things to come.
And they sure did, because suddenly Uzuki, and then Kariya, found themselves losing control of their minds...
Last, but not least, Minamimoto turned out to have survived his fight against Joshua, and from that, he has gained a brand new look...
