Retyping my old description, only shorter :

"Tyrian", the very 1st level, has Bubbles, Holes and Soh Jin as secret levels. Destroy gray rocks on the right of the level, about 1/4 in, to get Bubbles (one rock holds a blue crystal you must touch). To get holes, destroy as many U-ships as you can, and a gray spinning ship will hold teh secret level, when you reach the platforms. To get Soh Jin, don't destroy the last U-Ship of the first line that attacks you. A ship will drop the secret level near the end of the level.


Holes : Physicists come here to cry. Only place where you can purchase the Guided Micro Bombs, in Full game. Shareware version of Tyrian had you lose your Special Weapon midway of this level. Didn't happen now, maybe it's fixed?

Bubbles : Pink bubbles are tough/invincible, red ones are weak points. Hit them. They're usually weaker, but since I continued my game from Episode 5, the difficulty got raised. When the color changes, just avoid the bubbles, or attack the 2nd one from the left. I'm pretty sure that's the "red" one, always. Or was it the 2nd from the right? Anyway, one of the two center bubbles.
