0:00 - Intro/story
1:40 - Ship build
25:40 - Battle

War has been exhausting the building supplies. The fleet has returned to port, all beaten up. Barely anything is in working condition. The British ships are bombarding the coastlines and cutting off the supply lines.

The engineers approach the admiral with a daring plan: take what is left of the ships and build battleship from the scraps that lie in port. The admiral realises this is the only chance they have to make a possible breakout and resecure the area.

As it turns out, a heavy cruiser and 3 destroyers can be repaired and will join your fleet. But the Battleship will require you to make many decisions. Even though the ships are modern, not everything can be repaired. As it turns out, no two guns that are the same are functioning. This construction will be a nightmare!

You will be building a German battleship, 1940 tech. Displacement, Speed and Range are up to you. The upgrades however are. You can divide a set number of upgrade points to each of the different modules. But spend them wisely.

You can allocate the following points:
Propulsion: 10;
Protection: 14;
Armament: 18;
Equipment:6;

To calculate the cost of an upgrade, count how far the selection is to the right compared to the leftmost selection. To give you some examples: Geared Turbines II have a cost of 5 points, Anti-Torp III has a cost of 3 points, High TNT Propellant has a cost of 10 points. Keep in mind that not all selections are set to the leftmost selection by default!

The guns however are a different challenge. No 2 turrets may be the same (not counting 2” and 3”). For example, having 2 double-barrelled 15”guns is not in the spirit of this construction challenge. However, a single barrel 15” gun and a triple barrel 15” gun is perfectly fine. Note: due to these restrictions, it is only possible to place a single torpedo launcher. Also, be careful to not build a symmetrical ship.
