Tokugawa was terrified at the thought of coming out. He knew that being gay was not something that was accepted in his culture, and he was afraid of what his family and friends would think. He tried to ignore his feelings, but they just kept getting stronger, and eventually, he couldn't take them anymore.

Tokugawa Ieyasu learned that coming out is a process and that it's okay to take things one step at a time. He also learned that he had nothing to be ashamed of and that being true to himself was the most important thing.
