Unable to get into Diablo 4? Here's some tips
4Diablo 4 is now out for people who pre-ordered certain versions of the game. While the launch seems to be a solid success and some friends on my list are nearly THIRTY!!!, I was unable to get in myself. So I started researching what might be going on. I ran into a PS5 issue where apparently people are getting a license issue. The fix for that is for people to spend on the lowest amount of money possible (2 USD) and then your license to play early gets refreshed and you can get in. For the PC, there was several troubleshooting tips out there. One was to put D4 on an SSD or physical drive. There is a thought that an NVME drive is too fast. Another tip is to end the D4 task from task manager, relaunch the Bnet launcher and try D4 again. You can try super fast clicking through the cinematics and catch them before they kick in. Another tip is to set the ChromaDisable line in the LocalPrefs.txt to a 1 instead of 0. What worked for me was to rename that file to LocalPrefsOld.txt and let the game remake it. This file was present because I did the betas and the server slam.
