Unboxing Video And How To Connect An External GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter To A GoPro Hero 6 Black 5
In this video I'm doing a simple unboxing of the GoPro Pro 3.5mm external mic adaptor and showing how to connect it to a GoPro Hero 6 Black. This is also the same procedure for the GoPro Hero 5 Black.
With this adaptor you are then able to connect many types of microphones to your GoPro Hero 6 Black and 5 Black. Mics such as Lavalier, Lav or Clip-On mics. You can also attach a Dynamic Hand Held XLR mic via an appropriate cable. It's also possible to attach self powered condenser microphones and shotgun mic.
If you also use a further external mic pre-amp that supplies 48V phantom power, such as the Saramonic SmartRig, and connect that to the GoPro mic adaptor. You can then connect a shotgun mic and/or a professional studio condenser mic to the Smartrig, or another microphone phantom preamplifier, which will provide the 48 volt phantom power back down the XLR cable to power the capacitor, and then amplify that audio signal into the GoPro mic adaptor via a three pole or stereo TRS 3.5mm jack plug.
