Unbreakable Stories - Quest Design with QA approach || Leszek Górniak || Flying Wild Hog
From a technical perspective, a quest is a logical, interactive, often non-linear sequence of events. The more choices players can make, the more complex quest scripting is required. As a consequence, the quest becomes more susceptible to bugs, and the risk that players can break it increases. In their talk, they going to share a few techniques to avoid common problems in quest design so that our quests can become (nearly) unbreakable. The presentation is intended primarily for game designers and quest designers but also for gameplay programmers interested in how quest systems work.
