Well this is more to remind me of how the mechanic works and fully ingrain in my mind how not-all-that-important the SD for bonus points (even though the game is 2-loop and has zero extends whatsoever) thing is in Under Defeat.

The Skill Assessment bonus at the end of each stage gives you points depending on the % of enemies destroyed in the stage. The higher the better. You get 1 point per percentage point, which is then multiplied by possibly two cumulative factors : the remaining lives and the 100% destruction rate. (Technically, not all enemies need to be killed to get 100%, some like the helis right before the first boss don't seem to count) The latter is simple (the points get doubled if you kill 100% of the enemies) but the former is what I specifically wanted to analyze and showcase here because I always thought you absolutely need to SD twice at the beginning of the game to get good points (like Gunnail or something)

However, while the bonus exists and you likely want to actually SD twice at the beginning and then do the entire damn game with no lives in order to get WR-tier scores, this is something you can safely ignore until you've exhausted most other sources of points.

This multiplier works as such : the less lives in stock, the higher it is. 3 lives multiplies your base base skill assessment by 100. Having 2 lives multiplies it by 200. And being on your last life multiplies it by 300 instead. The multiplier is stackable with the 100% destruction x2 multiplier.

The maximum value you can get in each stage for this bonus thus seems to be 60k. (100 percentage points * 300 low lives bonus * 2 for the full enemy destruction) Since you get the bonus 10 times (5 stages played twice), you have a theoretical total of 600k points through the whole game for it. (unless not all stages can be 100%ed?)

As of now, the game's WR is 7.69mil points, and while having 600k just for it seems big in theory, remember that playing normally will also give you this bonus albeit with a lower value. And you need high enough destruction rate to access second loop in the first place so the skill assessment bonus will be relatively high even without the trick, so you miss out on even less hundred thousand points than what you'd think.
