Undertale (Blind) - Part 1 : Playing with Zero Prior Knowledge (Stream Archive)

Well, it had to happen sooner or later! Super Mario Sunshine has been a pretty cursed series when it comes to failures trying to put it on a delay, and it finally succeeded! My hard-drive dying did not do it, neither did Neo's laptop dying... it took Kit's hard-drive dying to cause an actual delay! It should hopefully just be a short one... I have the videos sitting ready for commentary, Kit just needs to be back up and running first, which could take a bit... in the meantime, I will post what I have on hand.
Well, what I have on hand is there here game... this game... this freaking game... that exploded into such out of proportion popularity that I feel very, very good I got a chance to play it back before it had exploded, else the constant presence of it would have tainted the first experience. With how omnipresent Undertale is online these days, do I... do I even need to introduce it? It is freaking everywhere! Ah well, here are the basics anyways...
The game is a retro-styled RPG that focuses almost entirely on story and characterization to give the deepest possible experience. Gameplay is actually a bit better than your bog-standard turn-based RPG because avoiding attacks is something you can do, and triggers a little bullet hell mini-game for each one. Also, you have the option of more peaceful resolutions with every enemy, rewarding you usually with silly situations or flavour text. Basically this means a ton of the game's flavour is rewarded through being very nice. The game will be solidly remembered for its characters and its soundtrack, this much is certain.
Just a reminder too... this was back in late September and I knew absolutely nothing about the game, its mechanics, and so on... so I came into it just playing it like a video game! Have fun...! Also, only Chompie is with me because everyone agreed she is the only guest who will not slip up and spoil something or taint a decision...!
