A few months ago Unity released a 2D game kit ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnfqPKfuPEU ) aimed at getting people up and running with a full blown game. At the time they announced that a 3D version was in the works as well. Yesterday they released a beta version of the 3D Game kit available on the asset store here ( https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/essentials/tutorial-projects/3d-game-kit-beta-115747 ).

The newest beta version of Unity ( 2018.1b13 ) as of recording is required. Also be sure to close and reopen the project after importing to get rid of a few importing errors that occur. The game kit is about 4GB in size.
