0Unity Technologies Launches Video Developer Profile on Amplitude's Next 4X Game Endless Legend
Unity Technologies has released the sixth in a series of Video Developer Profile videos, that highlight the developer stories behind the amazing interactive entertainment experiences that are created through the powerful Unity games development platform.
This Unity Developer Profile features Amplitude, the Paris team who are creating the next game in the Endless Universe, Endless Legend. It is an ambitious 4X strategy game about exploring the lost secrets of a dying planet and rebuilding your civilisation while facing a horrific winter cycle that ravaged your people. Once players create their own civilisation, they use it to conquer the far reaches of the world, and even confront friends online. The game is due for release on September 18th, and is currently on Steam Early Access.
The Unity Developer Profile highlights how using the engine has enabled the team to easily get straight into game design and development, without the need of spending years building a bespoke engine. It also shows the benefit of being able to hire graduates straight out of University, due to Unity's ease of use, which is incredibly beneficial for a small team.
