This is Azbolg the Gaming Orc to give you a real PC Masterrace performance tip how potentially how to improve your video games by utilizing all the cores within your CPU.
Again this could be a part of a process of troubleshooting if you feel a process is being bottlenecked somewhere, and this might be a “work around” to solve inefficient code.
So games have limited programming and do not support multicore usage, certain cpus might have duel or quad core. In this video I use a 6 core i7 3960X 3.3 GHz and 3.9 Turbo (overclocked). I can find out this information about my computer, and other hardware by a program called cpu-z. I bought this CPU a few years ago and it is still a top of the line CPU, but uses many cores which is great for some applications, and not so great for those who don’t use all the cores from the program limitation which could be code inherit.

Fun Fact, Xbox One and the like, use 1.8 GHz 8 core CPU.

The idea behind core parking came from energy saving, in essence, this is a typical case where the hardware far outpaced the software. From my research this parking of cores is not essential to computer performance, but if you are concerned about using excess power, you might not want to use this feature, even though it might be immaterial to an electric bill in the long run, and improve computer performance.
In this video I am going to mess around in the registry, so you need to be careful, set a restore point if you need too. Whenever messing around in the registry it can cause unintended consequences so caution is advised, since we are essentially making a “hardware” change to the existing setup.
1) I loaded up windows task manager, under performance, I am going to click on resource monitor. In the resource monitor window on the right hand side, I can see the CPU threads being “parked.” As they are parked they are not being utilized by the system.
2) In the registry editor I am searching for a specific key. Control-F and enter the key that I have in the description, and you can see in the video.

3) I change the ValueMax and ValueMin to 0, which mean unlimited for each registry key I find.
4) I continue to search for this registry key, and make this change to each key. I double check my work.
5) I restart the computer for the effects to take place.
6) Now I notice under the resource monitor that no cores are parked.

I hoped this video helped! Like, subscribe, see you in the next video!
