Unreal (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Unreal is a graphically impressive arcade action adventure which combined fast rear-view 3D sequences with colourful level exploration. The one issue with the game.. it's TOUGH!

Version 3B
This is the final 'new rip' of this season, as the last six reviews were all ripped back in 2013, and I want to sweep the decks clear for the x-mas specials and hopefully season 3 next year.
I really wanted to cover this game for a long time, but after Pat's Nostalgia covered it I put the game on hold and didnt bring it to mind again until recently. Pat's channel has been dormant for some time so it felt right to return to this game. I love the character of the game and the flying sequences. Unfortunately I didnt get to complete world 2 on this attempt although I swear I must have been very close. My high score is left over from a special round featuring Unreal in the Superleague Competition back in June 2013.
The comparison zone was a bit of an after-thought and was stuck in at the last moment virtually, although I did have those games in mind all along, I didnt want to break up the action or the tips, so I ran the swamp log sequence in reverse and replayed it in the box-out so as to not miss anything. I also added the caption for the Maniacs of Noise (but forgot to mention Jeroen Tel and Charles Deenan) as I'd forgotten to mention the music in the intro to the review.
Nothing much needed to jazz this one up, except the ending, which was extra long because this review only lasted 16mins (before I added the comparison zone) so I wanted to bulk out the ending as well as play that great remix music from Unreal. I played around with some effects but its surprising how limited I am for effects with this software, but they get the job done.
