Rodland (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Rodland is a highly polished arcade conversion from the mid 1980's. Its just as fun (and tough) today as it ever was, and deserves some recognition.

Rodland is game I've had in mind to cover from day 1, hence the Rit character showing up on all those intros over the years. I knew I could get to the second level boss so I had two practice goes and then hit record. This was my second attempt at covering this game since one with a 'mouse pointer issue' I tried to record in 2013.
The voiceover needed a 'THREE' added as I originally said the enemies take five shots to knock out, and JALECO instead of JALACO as I said first time around, but apart from that, the one major thing was the volume of the voiceover. I wanted a 'quiet story narration' and something which would blend into the game. The first render was way too loud, the second render was too quiet, and this third/ fourth one is a compromise - but still a bit too loud. Maybe you can adjust your volume to compensate? There is also a very slight lag in some of the in-game SFX due to a weird time-stretch problem I attempted to fix on every screen. There was just one more thing to do with the backgound music breaking in too soon at one point, but after several searches I couldnt find where I found it before making the final render, so that bug is probably still in there somewhere around the one-third mark.
I had just discovered the piano version of the Rodland level 1 theme the week before, and I thought it was great to add it to the end of this review.
