The second half of the level pits you against mainly the Liandri Mercs and another defense scenario. The first half actually deals with getting to the defensive position. You are placed upon an exterior walk way and literally have to fight through dozens of Liandri, which is always fun. The second half combines what you've learned in the past combat mission with both defense measures and marine troops to fortify an area for assault.
Personal Thoughts: Despite me really loathing Dr. Meyer, I actually liked the outdoor conversation between the two of them. The rising level of anger from John as Meyer gets under his sick is utterly hilarious and a much needed laugh break from all the seriousness in the game so far. The defensive portion is the most robust yet. You not only have shield walls and turrets to play with, but four marines as well. The tactic here is not to stay put where you are like in Kalydon, but rather secure the interior and actually go seek out your targets trusting your defenses will hold long enough for you to get back and kick arse. So you have to go about playing it in a totally different fashion.
Difficulty Analysis: The difficulty slips back down to Moderate for this next portion while you are engaging Liandri on the catwalk. It is quite easy to get them into a bottleneck and pick them off one by one. Its the defensive scenario that really bumps it back up to Difficult. The final wave of Liandri Mercs (like in Kalydon) assault you from two sides and are made up of some of the strongest they have available and can easily kill you. Just utilize the interior health and shield recharge pads as much as possible and you should end up all right.
