One of the more intense sections of the game. You are charged with the defense of your aircraft. You are literally thrown in and given a trial by fire on how best to set up your defenses for the impending Liandri attack. Obviously the military drop overshot and you have to go explore the environs to get your shield walls and turrets. Once acquired, you must quickly set up enough barrier protection to give you a chance at survival against four waves of Liandri Angel Mercs.
Personal Thoughts: This is one of the most frustrating levels in the entire game. The first two waves are not 'too' bad. But the last two just about overwhelm you with the final wave attacking you from two sides at once. By the time the final wave hits, you'll have barely any shield walls or turrets left to back you up, leaving you the sole survivor needed to destroy the opposition. On harder skill levels, it becomes near impossible to either a) survive or b) eliminate any threats that get close to the hangar door.
Difficulty Analysis: Ridiculous. That is the rating I'm going to give it. It is such a sore spot on the entire game that it has to be this hard. Even on Easy setting, the Liandri can hand your butt over to you if you are not careful with your ammo and dodging. Picking up and replacing turrets and shield walls becomes a force of habit on higher skills to keep up with the waves of enemies. Ridiculous.
