Unreal II - Sulferon - Delta Avior VII
This is a rather interesting setup. You must first storm a forward outpost base of the Izanagi Ghost Warriors, only to defend it from them after clearing the base. The first segment is easy enough, you need to take apart the base piece by piece, room by room. The enemies usually don't move around much, so you should have an easy time mopping them up. The second half of the stages involves setting up Marines around the base to assist in defending it, although you'll end up doing the majority of the work yourself.
Personal Thoughts: I consider this to be a second half to level 4. In that, there are defense segments in each half, so that links the two levels together. That and there is no true 'Atlantis Interlude' which prompts me into thinking this is still part of level 4. I rather liked this defensive scenario a lot better than Kalydon. You had actual back up that, although they die easily, actually helped. Turrets located at key locations within the facility also helps ease up the waves of oncoming attackers. It seems the difficulty has let up a bit after the last segment, which just beat you to a pulp. So it was nice to get a refresher of a level.
Difficulty Analysis: Overall, I label this as Difficult, which is only slightly harder than Moderate. With careful tactics, you can take down the entire base with minimal damage to yourself. However if you are not careful and don't play it safe, the Ghost Warriors can tear you apart quickly with their weaponry. The second half is where things get really hairy and where the majority of the rating comes from. You cannot rely on your teammates to do the work for you, the majority of the burden lies on your shoulders. As a result, you can be in the line of fire a whole lot and if you let them come into the facility proper, in very tight quarters. Not so good when facing off against rocket launchers.
