Unreleased Us versions of Shenmue 2 Dreamcast Map0 (beta)
This map is a very rough layout representation of Aberdeen with most of the design being very final and easily discernable, despite the crude details.
Contrary to popular belief, Shenmue 2 in the United States was not canceled because of the Xbox version, Microsoft did not buy its exclusivity on American soil. Sega of America felt it was just too late to release it
Sega Europe took the risk of publishing it. We were on the verge of cancellation on European and American territory. Without this decision of SOE, Shenmue 2 would have remained confined to Japan and would never have been able to have a classic Xbox version.
Microsoft was interested because the localization work was already done, a recycling of the canceled Us DC version !!!
Shenmue is much more than a game, it is one of those rare gems that help take players to a new stage in video games.
For the first time, the player was drowned in a universe that seemed parallel to ours.
This prototype has two debug menus. If at first glance this one seems basic, we realize that it allows a lot of things in the game. It is complicated to understand it, to use it.
Shenmue 2 Us even creates US backup files compatible only with this version.
